About Adam Koenig

Adam Koenig is the owner of Koenig Public Policy and Political Consulting. Previously Adam was elected to the Kentucky State House of Representatives in November 2006. He was the first ever Republican Chairman of the Licensing, Occupations and Administrative Regulations committee, and served on the Banking and Insurance, Local Government, Education and Economic Development and Workforce Development Committees.

Among Adam’s legislative successes include bills to repeal the prevailing wage, modernize Kentucky’s Workers Compensation system that has resulted in an average decrease of over 30% for employers,  allow for the direct shipment of alcohol, and carried the HHR bill in the House.  In addition Adam was the leading proponent of permitting sports betting in Kentucky.

Prior to his election as a State Representative, Adam served 8 years as a Kenton County Commissioner and 3 years as a Villa Hills City Councilman.

In addition to being a consultant, Adam is a REALTOR with Coldwell Banker West Shell.

Adam Koenig resides in Erlanger. A graduate of Covington Catholic High School, Adam received a B.A. in Political Science from Miami University in Oxford Ohio with a minor in Geography. Adam is a member of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs and is a board member of the Covington Salvation Army.  Adam has also served as a guest lecturer for both Political Science and Education classes at Northern Kentucky University.

  • Chairman of House Licensing, Occupations and Administrative Regulations for last 6 years. Responsibilities include setting agendas, running committee meetings, coordinating priorities with House Leadership, drafting editing and prioritizing legislation to further the goals of making Kentucky a more business friendly state while balancing the needs of public protection.
  • Creating and passing legislation outside of committee of jurisdiction.
  • Member of several other committees, including Banking and Insurance, Local Government, Labor and Industry, Economic Development and Workforce Investment, Education, Small Business and Information Technology, and multiple subcommittees of Appropriations and Revenue.
